This Privacy Policy explains how Pietro De Filippis (the “App”), the TikTok for Developers app of pietrodefilippis.it used by the TK TikTok Gallery WordPress plugin developed by Pietro De Filippis (TecnikGeek), processes data obtained from TikTok through the TikTok Login Kit and Display API.

1. Data controller

Pietro De Filippis — e-mail: tecnikgeek@gmail.com. For the data shown on a customer’s website, the owner of that website is the controller; Pietro De Filippis acts as provider of the software and of the authorization service.

2. Data we access from TikTok

• user.info.basic / user.info.profile: open ID, display name, avatar, profile link of the TikTok account that connects the App.
• video.list: list of that account’s public videos (ID, title/description, cover image, share link, embed link, creation date).
• Access and refresh tokens issued by TikTok.

We do not access passwords, private videos, direct messages, followers or data of other TikTok users.

3. How we use the data

Only to display the connected account’s public videos in a gallery on the website of the account owner, as requested by the owner. No profiling, advertising or sale of data.

4. Where data is stored

• Tokens and the video list are stored in the database of the owner’s WordPress website.
• Cover images are copied into the website’s uploads folder (TikTok cover URLs expire) and refreshed periodically.
• The OAuth authorization passes through our server at pietrodefilippis.it only to exchange the authorization code for tokens; tokens are returned to the owner’s website and not kept on our server beyond technical logs, which are masked.

5. Retention and deletion

Data is kept while the account is connected. When the owner clicks “Disconnect” in the App or uninstalls the plugin, tokens and cached data are deleted. Access can also be revoked at any time from TikTok (Settings and privacy → Security → Manage app permissions). Deletion requests: tecnikgeek@gmail.com.

6. Sharing

Data is not sold or shared with third parties. Videos are played through the official TikTok embed player, subject to the TikTok Privacy Policy.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

You may request access, rectification, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing and lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), by writing to tecnikgeek@gmail.com.
